How to install a Minecraft Bedrock skin pack
A skin pack is a bundle of skins in one .mcpack file. Minecraft imports it in one step and every skin inside becomes available in the dressing room at once.
- 1
Download the .mcpack file
Open a pack page and press Download .mcpack. If your browser saves it as
.zip, rename it back to.mcpack— the contents are the same, only the extension tells Minecraft what to do with it. - 2
Open the file with Minecraft
Tap the downloaded file. Minecraft starts and imports the pack by itself. On Windows 10/11 double-click it; if nothing happens, right-click → Open with → Minecraft.
- 3
Wait for the import message
Minecraft shows a short "Import started" message and then drops you at the main menu. Large packs take a few seconds.
- 4
Pick a skin from the pack
Open the dressing room, go to Classic Skins → Owned and scroll down. The pack appears as its own row with every skin it contains.
Where the pack is stored
Imported packs live inside the game data folder, not in Downloads. Deleting the downloaded .mcpack afterwards does not remove the skins.
If nothing happens when you tap the file
The file manager has to hand the file to Minecraft. Use the game's own storage path instead: copy the pack to games/com.mojang/skin_packs/ and restart Minecraft.
Consoles
Skin packs cannot be imported on Xbox, PlayStation or Switch. Import on a phone or on Windows with the same Microsoft account and the skins follow you.
